“The Lameness Connection” has three Farriers
in its group, working closely with three different Veterinary clinics.
David Hesseltine is a Certified Journeyman
Farrier [#2943] with the American Farriers Association and has over 30
years experience. Most of his experience has been with lame horses and
balance problems. Bill Wilson is a Farrier with 3 years working with David
Hesseltine. Matt Motley has been apprenticing with David
Hesseltine for a year and a half. Matt comes to us, from Novice,
Texas, with considerable understanding
of western style ranch horses.
We work as a team regularly. David and
Bill service most of the Veterinary referrals. We do a considerable amount
of laminitic horses, “Navicular syndrome” horses, as well as a broad range
of balance problems. We regularly attend seminars & clinics to further our
education and try to stay up to date on the latest information and
techniques in our field. We also putt on clinics our selves, for Farriers,
Trainers & owners as a way of sharing and exchanging information.
We “STRONGLY” believe in the “TEAM”
effort between Vets, Farriers, and Owners and/or Trainers. Our successes
have largely come from this belief. |
