In Memory of Eddie Watson ....
Eddie Watson taught me to make
the style heart bar shoe, I use and still use today.
That was 20+ years ago at the AFA Convention in New
Mexico. We have indeed lost one of the great
"re-inventors" of this industry and trade. Many
like me owe in no small way, the success and knowledge
of the making and fitting of shoes and horseshoeing in
general to Eddie. He was a man that either
personally, privately or professionally we should strive
to be like. In fact, a fine southern gentleman and
a great horseshoer. Danny Ward, CJF (another great
horseshoer in his own right), long time member of the
AFA, referred to Eddie as "The Doctor" Enough
said. He will be missed.
